The Solution
ViVac’s product is a pre-clinical synthetic RNA-LNP platform for cancer immunotherapy designed for solid tumors such as liver and ovarian cancer. The platform safely mimics viral infection by delivering a full viral blueprint, including immunostimulators, into tumors using lipid nanoparticles rather than live virus. Its core promise is to combine the potency of oncolytic viral approaches with RNA-level safety: the RNA-LNP acts as a pro-drug, enables local single-cycle viral replication, and uses the poliovirus receptor CD155, which is overexpressed in many tumors, for tumor-specific targeting. The solution is intended to train the immune system against both viral and tumor antigens, activating intracellular and extracellular immune pathways to stimulate T-cells as well as B-cells and antibodies. This dual immune activation is positioned as a major differentiator versus checkpoint inhibitors, oncolytic viruses, and mRNA vaccines, which the company describes as limited by efficacy, safety, manufacturing complexity, or weak and short-lived responses.
